Commercial Wet Rooms

In commercial settings, our service caters to businesses looking to optimise their facilities, whether in hotels, gyms, or healthcare environments. We prioritise durability and functionality, ensuring that our wet-room conversions meet industry standards while providing an inviting atmosphere for clients and guests.

The installation process starts with the removal of all required fixtures and fittings. We then move on to the removal of existing floor coverings, such as carpet and underlay, floor tiles, or vinyl flooring.

Once these have been removed we then carry out a second assessment of the sub-floor condition. This is essential, as in certain cases, for example with tiled floors a comprehensive assessment can only be conducted upon full removal of existing tiles. 

Once the floor is clean, dry, and free from cracks or damage, we apply a liquid waterproof membrane (if necessary) over the entire slab to prevent moisture ingress. 

The wet-room former is then positioned in alignment with the waste outlet and bed in a cement based adhesive, this is then allowed to cure for the required period of time. A self-levelling compound is applied to create a smooth flat surface.

For timber floor installations, the required floor joists are reinforced to accommodate the weight and stability of the wet-room former. The former is then secured in position and levelled with the pre fitted plywood floor covering.

To provide a seamless transition between the wall and the floor, a cove moulding is fitted. Once the floor surface has been primed and prepared as required, The vinyl covering is carefully laid  ensuring there are no no air bubbles, giving a smooth finish. 

Any excess vinyl around the edges is trimmed as required. Internal and external corner joints are formed and adhesive applied. To create a water tight seamless look, all joins are welded using a hot air welding tool.

Silicone sealant is applied to all required areas to ensure complete waterproofing. A final inspection is carried out to ensure that all areas are correctly sealed, water tight, and free of any imperfections. 

Wet-room installations provide a fully waterproof, functional shower space giving maximum accessibility and comfort, whether for residential or commercial properties.
